Karalyn Mulligan, Clinician at Cedar Ridge Counseling Centers, Domestic Violence Coordinator of The University of Maryland, Capital Region Health’s Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Center, and President of The Maryland Health Care Coalition Against Domestic Violence, has been working with crime victims for over 25 years, including in the roles of advocate, therapist, coordinator and executive director. Ms. Mulligan also serves on several local multidisciplinary teams, including the County’s Domestic Violence Coordinating Council and the Domestic Violence Fatality Review Team. Ms. Mulligan was featured in the film “Bringing Sexual Assault Offenders to Justice” by the International Association of Chiefs of Police. Ms. Mulligan received a Maryland Governors’ Victim Assistance award in 2014 and The Prince George’s County’s Office of the Sheriff’s Purple Light Bulb award in 2018. Ms. Mulligan has a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).

My name is Therese Moran Conlon, LCPC and I have 15 years of experience helping children, teens, adults, couples and families to achieve their goals. I wore many hats at Villa Maria. First as a school consultant then I provided home based respite for families with children with challenging behaviors. Next, I provided psychiatric rehabilitation as an adjunct to therapy. Finally, I worked as a therapist for many years.

My clinical approach is Cognitive Behavioral. In a nutshell: “Change your thinking change your life.” I bring a wealth of knowledge, acceptance, compassion and encouragement to help my clients to move forward in their lives. I treat depression, anxiety, Bipolar, grief, anger management, adjustment to a myriad of issues, couple’s counseling, academic under achievement, parenting issues, Family issues, boundary issues, self-destructive behavior, low self esteem and support for family and friends of those addicted to alcohol and/or drugs. Tracey is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with experience working in an outpatient community mental health clinic providing individual and family therapy. Tracey has provided therapy in school based setting as well as providing early childhood mental health consultation in Head Start schools.

Tracey works with children, adolescents, and adults, and providing family therapy as needed when working with children and adolescents. She has experience working within a variety of areas including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, anger management, grief/loss, relationship issues, self-esteem, and adjustment disorders.

Tracey believes in the importance of building a client-therapist relationship and creating a safe space for the client to help them reach their therapy goals. Tracey believes in blending different aspects of multiple therapeutic approaches to best meet the client’s needs.

Tracey earned her Master’s in Counseling from Loyola University and Bachelors in Psychology from Stevenson University.

Robert is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor who earned his MA in Counseling Psychology from Towson University. Before becoming a mental health therapist, Robert received a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from UMBC and understands the importance of integrating concepts of community, culture and meaning-making into clinical practice. Robert specializes in individual and group therapy with specific expertise in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, relationship issues and addiction.

Robert uses an individualized, integrative approach to psychotherapy – utilizing CBT, narrative therapy, and strength-based approaches to provide clients with the tools they need to heal, improve self-esteem, set and maintain healthy boundaries, and to feel better equipped to deal with the challenges of daily life. Robert understands that safe, non-judgmental spaces are required in order to best help clients explore issues of gender and sexuality, as well as to process trauma. Robert also welcomes non-native English speakers and clients whose country of origin is outside of the U.S.

I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing, The Seven Challenges, and Mediation and specialize in working with people struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, parenting issues, school issues, marital issues and life cycle transitions.

I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Social Work from Western Maryland College and my Masters in Social Work from University of Maryland School of Social Work. I have a certificate in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), The Seven Challenges, Family Mediation, and am a Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners Approved Supervisor. I developed my expertise working with youth in Baltimore and have extensive experience in managing clinical programs within local youth serving organizations as well as in the coaching, developing and mentoring of clinical leaders in both Maryland and the District of Columbia. I am currently licensed in Virginia and Maryland.
