Kyla Duhart LCSW, Cedar Ridge Counseling
I believe that individuals have great capacity for growth, change and healing. Therapy plays an essential role in helping people achieve an expanded awareness of themselves and of themselves in relation to others. I take a compassionate, non-judgmental, strength-based approach as I support you in dealing with challenging life experiences.

I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing, The Seven Challenges, and Mediation and specialize in working with people struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, parenting issues, school issues, marital issues and life cycle transitions.

I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Social Work from Western Maryland College and my Masters in Social Work from University of Maryland School of Social Work. I have a certificate in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), The Seven Challenges, Family Mediation, and am a Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners Approved Supervisor. I developed my expertise working with youth in Baltimore and have extensive experience in managing clinical programs within local youth serving organizations as well as in the coaching, developing and mentoring of clinical leaders in both Maryland and the District of Columbia. I am currently licensed in Virginia and Maryland.
