In my many years as a therapist, I have learned and effectively used a variety of therapeutic approaches and techniques. However, most, importantly, is my relationship with the client. I strive to work as a partner to help my clients build on the strengths and skills they already have. My emphasis with many clients is the use of Solution-based therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, both relatively structured, short-term treatment. However, I also have a number of clients where a more indepth approach is used.

My experience includes work with teenagers, adults and the elderly, seeing them as individuals or couples. Issues I treat include depression, anxiety, relationship and marital problems, work related issues, and issues of fertility, aging, chronic pain and grief.
Initially, my career was as a Masters level Occupational Therapist both in Physical Medicine and Psychiatry. I learned about chronic pain and long-term disability, working both with the patient and the family.

However, after 10 years, I found dealing with people’s issues more directly was my most important skill. I went back to school at University of Michigan and got another Masters in Clinical Social Work. Since that time, I have worked in a variety of psychiatric clinical settings, including in-patient psychiatry, out-patient settings to adults and the elderly.

I look forward to meeting with you and working together on your needs and concerns.

You’ve mastered the art of holding it together.
From the outside, you look solid career, family, ambition. But inside? You’re tired. Mentally overloaded. Quietly unraveling.

Maybe it’s ADHD that no one ever helped you name. Maybe it’s trauma you buried because no one gave you the space to speak. Maybe it’s the unspoken pressure of being a man in every room, provider, protector, performer, and still wondering, who’s holding me down?

You’ve done therapy before, but it felt flat. You don’t need worksheets, you need someone who gets it. Someone who sees the artist, the father, the partner, the leader, and the boy who was never taught how to feel.

If you’re ready for change, real change, without judgment. I offer a space that honors your complexity. We’ll unpack the weight, build emotional clarity, and reconnect you to yourself. Whether you’re navigating addiction, relationship burnout, spiritual numbness, or just need tools to stop spiraling, this is where you get to exhale.

This isn’t therapy that stares at the clock. This is healing that hits like truth.

Let’s talk. Free intro call, no pressure. Reach out by email to connect.

I work with Black men (and those who love them) to build emotional strength, unpack habits and trauma, improve self-awareness, and create lasting change without shame.

Let’s talk. I offer a free intro phone session to see if we’re a good fit. Email is the best way to reach me.
