Tina Adler, LCSW-C, ACHP-SW is new to Cedar Ridge Counseling Centers but is not new to clinical social work practice. Tina employs various therapeutic approaches guided by each client’s needs. Modalities used include CBT, strengths based, solution focused, transpersonal therapy and supportive counseling. Tina is a compassionate listener working with warmth and gentle humor to connect with clients. Tina has worked mostly with adults and elderly clients experiencing social isolation, loneliness, life transitions, relationship conflicts, job dissatisfaction, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, substance abuse/dependence and more. Tina starts where the client is ands works collaboratively toward their goals and emotional health.

Tina has more than 25 years of experience providing counseling to a diverse population. Tina has worked with persons living with HIV/Aids, homeless women with substance abuse and mental health issues, adults in psychiatric programs (PHP and IOP), LGBTQIA, as well as in a mental health clinic providing psychotherapy to adults with severe/chronic mental illnesses. Most recently Tina worked for many years at a hospice agency with patients with life limiting illnesses and their grieving families. From this experience she has gained expertise with end of life and bereavement issues.
