Kyla Duhart LCSW, Cedar Ridge Counseling
Megan Kong, MMT, LGPC, LPMT, MT-BC, is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor and board-certified music therapist who believes in the power of creativity as a pathway to healing. She has been a board-certified music therapist and integrates music, art, and movement into therapy to help clients express what can sometimes feel hard to put into words, creating space for deeper connection, understanding, and growth.

Megan works with children, adolescents, and young adults navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, neurodevelopmental differences, and life transitions. Her approach is collaborative, compassionate, and client-centered. She meets each person where they are and honors their unique story, identity, and lived experiences.

Her background includes work across schools, residential and day treatment programs, medical settings, and community-based care. Through this, she has supported individuals with a wide range of mental health needs, including complex trauma, behavioral challenges, and co-occurring diagnoses, and brings a flexible, grounded approach to each space she enters.

She is especially passionate about supporting marginalized communities and providing care that is culturally responsive, socially aware, and grounded in authenticity. Megan brings a trauma-informed and multicultural lens to her work, creating a space where clients can feel safe, seen, and empowered to explore themselves more fully.

In addition to her clinical work, Megan offers supervision to fellow music therapists, with a focus on identity, social justice, and reflexive practice. Her work is deeply influenced by her research and advocacy around culture, community, and belonging.
At the heart of Megan’s work is a belief that creativity is not just expressive, it is transformative. She strives to create a space where clients can reconnect with themselves, build resilience, and move toward healing in ways that feel meaningful and true to them.
