Vanessa earned her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Sociology from University of Maryland in 2008 and obtained her Master of Arts degree in Professional Counselor Psychology from Washington Adventist University in 2014. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the Maryland. She is also a Certified Family Trauma Professional. 

She has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Her approach to therapy is eclectic and is based on person-on-person-centered, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and insight-oriented concepts. She builds an environment where individuals can safely explore life’s challenges in order to reach their full potential. Her areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, stress management, self-esteem, grief and loss, anger management, life transitions, and interpersonal issues. One can expect a warm environment in empathy and acceptance.
