Sandy has been providing services in the field of mentalhealth for over twenty years in both Maryland and Florida. Her current focus is on anxiety and mood disorders among teens and adults. She has a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Bowie State University as well as extensivePost-Masters work at Loyola University. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She has Certifications in Psychotraumatology and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing Mediation and Parenting Coordination and as a Red Cross Disaster Counselor.

Sandy is at ease and knowledgeable with a wide range of populations. She has an extensive background in forensics at the state and local level providing therapy, case management and alternative sentencing recommendations to the courts. She has worked extensively with people with addictions, debilitating illnesses and complex social and economic problems.Sandy has provided case management, therapy and administrative supervision inagencies providing residential services for the developmentally disabled andthe chronically mentally ill. She has also provided clinical services for children from age five and up in homes, schools, shelter and addictions settings.

Sandy's therapeutic style is person-centered. She works in partnership with the client by engaging them ina positive and solutions-oriented approach to change. She utilizes a variety ofapproaches based on cognitive change, personal responsibility and behavioralcoping strategies.
